Kenda tires are designed around a specific rim width in mind for any given tire size. Pairing the tire with it's designed rim dimensions should result in an actual tire width equal to that shown on the side of the tire (a 61-622 or 29x2.40 tire mounted to a 28mm rim should result in an actual measurement of 61mm wide plus or minus 1 or 2mm)
Though our tires are designed with a specific rim width in mind the tire can still be mounted on a range of rim widths. Refer to the chart below to find the minimum and maximum recommended rim width for a given tire size.
